What is project 100y+

If you still believe that solar panels, electric cars, nuclear power, or energy-saving devices are the ultimate solutions to the major energy crisis we face, it’s time for a wake-up call. Just as with robotization, AI, and gadgets, these resources won’t be available to support a population of ten billion. And what about money, work, and shelter for everyone a hundred years from now?

The creators behind the legendary bookazine return with an ambitious new project: Dif100Y+. In this visionary edition—a unique blend of magazine and book—they invite the world’s leading thinkers, artists, and designers to imagine a future shaped by long-term thinking.

The topics

To envision the future, Dif100Y+ places humanity at the center. Through eight key topics and 25 subthemes essential to human life, the project explores how we can ensure long-term survival in a world where caring for the planet and fostering healthy human relationships remain constant challenges.

For each topic, we invite the most visionary long-term thinkers to share their perspectives, drawing from fields such as science, journalism, business, and activism. Artists, photographers, and illustrators will bring these visions of the future to life, offering both commentary and visual interpretation.

Dif in the past

At the start of this century, Dif, the bookazine, appeared annually—and to this day, it holds a place of pride on the bookshelves of many enthusiasts. Dif captured its time, with nearly 2,000 pages brought to life by countless renowned and emerging writers, photographers, and artists. These pages, filled with their contributions, are now available to explore on this site.

Who we are

A small core editorial team launched the sixth edition of Dif, the bookazine, in 2024, supported by a select group of visionaries lending their names and reputations to the project. Alongside them is an extensive roster of past contributors and interviewees who have previously collaborated with Dif and may once again appear in its pages.
